Task Selection
Pick two different, unrelated tasks that you want to work on simultaneously. Choose tasks of varying difficulty.
Simultaneous Engagement
Start both tasks at the same time. Try to divide your attention and make progress on each.
Task Rotation
Rotate your attention between the two tasks at regular intervals. Notice how quickly you can re-engage with each task.
Reflective Assessment
After finishing both tasks, reflect on your performance. What went well? What was challenging? How can you improve?
Task Prioritization: Decide which of the two tasks is more important and give it slightly more focus when needed.
Mindful Transitions: Practice switching between tasks with intention. Notice the mental shift and try to make it smoother each time.
Experiment with Pairings: Try different combinations of tasks to discover which pairs work well together and which are too demanding.
Adjust Difficulty: Start with simpler task pairs and gradually increase complexity as your cognitive flexibility improves.
